本剧改编自同名漫画，讲述了34岁的主人公树乃仓严，兴趣是露营，是独自露营的纯粹的单人露营者。不需要汽车，换乘电车，最后坐巴士进山，热爱大自然、火、木、水、土，同样也爱着自己孤独的生活方式。什么！意外地遇到了草野雫这个20岁的小姑娘，两人陷入了单身露营的困境…
本剧是由编剧岸本鮎佳以“友情”为主题创作的、略带暗黑风格的成人喜剧。故事描绘了在广告代理公司工作的千本佳里奈（北香那 饰）与职业芭蕾舞者二木优美（天野花 饰）之间的友情与纠葛。
半平太（锦户亮 饰）被逼自尽后竟然穿越到了现代，在经历了一连串宛如灾难一般的意外后，半平太遇见了善良的老人佐伯真人（森本里奥 饰）。佐伯经营着一间补习班，他不仅收留了无处可去的半平太，还任命他成为了补习班的临时老师。 佐伯的孙女晴香（比嘉爱未 饰）对于半平太的真实身份十分怀疑，充满了戒备。之后，半平太遇见了在他之前穿越过来的坂本龙马（神木隆之介 饰），两人联手寻找回到过去的方法。随着时间的推移，半平太和佐伯一家人之间产生了深深的羁绊，半平太利用着战场上的经验，解决了身边发生的一个又一个难题，获得了孩子们的喜爱与信任。
