故事发生在改革开放初期，李善军（李光洁 饰）邂逅了名为张玉霞（朱丹 饰）的女孩，两人之间产生了一些小小的误会，令张玉霞误将李善军认成了流氓，彼此之间心生龃龉。此时的两人并不知道的是，双方的父母正在积极的暗中撮合他们的婚事，最终，李善军和张玉霞化解了误会和矛盾，顺利的走到了一起，携手步入了婚姻的殿堂。 然而，婚姻生活并没有他们想象中的那么简单，它不再是两个人的私事，而是两个家庭和两种理念的碰撞。在锅碗瓢盆柴米油盐之中，李善军和张玉霞不可避免的频频争吵，他们的感情也在一次又一次矛盾中经受了暴风雨般的考验。
